CHICAGO, Ill. - Several people are concerned after they received the wrong second dose of a COVID vaccine at a pharmacy in Illinois.
Eight people were given the first dose of the Moderna vaccine, but then received a second dose of Pfizer.
The Centers for Disease Control has said the vaccines are not interchangeable.
The agency pointed out that mismatched doses haven't been evaluated for safety or effectiveness.
The pharmacy says it's investigating the matter and will take steps to prevent a similar situation from happening again.
