The two men accused of murdering a Fulton County woman have been indicted by a Saratoga County grand jury.

James Duffy of Johnstown and Georgios Kakavelos of Ballston Spa were supposed to appear in Malta Town Court for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday afternoon, but that became unnecessary when the district attorney notified the court that there had been an indictment in the case.

Both men are accused of beating Allyzibeth Lamont to death with a baseball bat and putting her body in a wooded area off Exit 13 of the Northway.

Lamont was an employee of the Johnstown sandwich shop that Kakavelos owned and Duffy managed.
