An investigation into an alleged attack in Saratoga Springs led police to the Saratoga Race Course on Wednesday.

A woman says she was on Phila Street and Nelson Avenue around 11 p.m. Saturday when a man on a bike tried to grab her around the head and neck. She was able to break away and yell for help.

A man fitting the suspect's description was spotted  on Union Avenue by an investigator around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. When the investigator approached him and two others he was riding with, police say the man took off on his bike, disappeared into a gate, and got away.

He is described as a 5-foot, 6-inch tall Hispanic male on a bike. Today he's wearing a Grey T-shirt with maroon sleeves and collar, and has a black backpack.

The night of the assault, he was described as having a red T-shirt with white lettering or a white logo across the chest, lighter blue jeans, and a fitted baseball hat that was blue on the front half and white on the back.

Anyone with information is asked to call Saratoga Springs Police at (518) 584-1800.
