Former Guilderland property manager sentenced for stealing $79,000

A former property manager at an apartment complex in Guilderland will spend up to six months behind bars.

Jamie Bonkoski, 41, was sentenced Tuesday morning. She used to work for Deer Valley Apartments.

She pleaded guilty to stealing more than $79,000. Back in May, investigators told NewsChannel 13 she was making purchases for herself, using the corporate account.

Police say she also stole renter's security deposits and fees and received personal services from tenants instead of rent.
