Saratoga County business owner admits to animal cruelty

A business owner pleads guilty to animal cruelty charges. Jeffrey Owens pleaded guilty to animal cruelty and tampering with physical evidence.

It comes after the discovery of dead animals in barns behind a business on Route 4 in Kingsbury.

In all, five cows, a goat, two alpacas, seven chickens, 10 turkeys and numerous rabbits were found dead with no food or water.

Owens had indicated to authorities he had wanted to start a petting zoo.
