Robbery suspect in custody after standoff

The suspect in a North Greenbush jewelry store robbery is now in custody.

26-year-old Charlie Hardt was arrested Friday night after a brief standoff at his parent's home on Birchwood Avenue in Rensselaer.

Hardt was wanted in connection with an armed robbery at Don Cook Jewelry on February 3. Police say after that, he broke into a nearby home and stole a car.

Hardt has been arraigned on multiple charges.
