TROY - It was a short workday for jurors in the Johnny Oquendo murder trial in Troy on Wednesday. The judge sent them home at 1 p.m. after three witnesses took the stand - all of them Troy police evidence technicians.
This is the second week of trial testimony.
Oquendo is accused of strangling his stepdaughter, Noel Aklramla, in 2015, then stuffing her body into a suitcase and tossing it into the Hudson River.
Testimony resumes at 9:30 Thursday morning.
