The Albany Airport firefighter who is battling sepsis has now had all 10 toes removed.

In a post on Facebook, Josh Woodward’s wife, Chelsea, says a doctor tried to preserve as much of the feet as he could. The left foot is now a bit longer than the right foot.

Josh will now have to learn how to walk on his new feet, or use some type of silicone strap or prosthetic.

If all goes well, he just needs a bit of grafting or fine tuning next week, then could be discharged shortly after.
