December 21, 2017 04:52 PM

A Schenectady man is accused of a rental property scam.

Justin McNeal, 33, is charged. Police say he claims to work for a company called "Affordable 518 Homes," took information from a website where a house was for rent and put the same ad on the Affordable Homes Facebook page.

Authorities say McNeal claimed the house was available for rent with an option to buy, deceiving renters and buyers.

Police say the lessee never agreed to put the home up for sale, and that McNeal kept $9,000 from the renter.

Troopers are worried there could be more victims, so if you've had contact with McNeal, call state police.
