Some new protection is helping an Albany County Sheriff’s K-9 stay "top dog."

The dog, named "G," now sports a bullet and stab-proof vest.

A charitable donation of $1,050 from Vested Interest in K9s is helping to pay for the vest.

Since the organization started in 2009, they’ve provided over 2,000 protective vests in all 50 states.
