Blacknall shot and killed Wendell Hill at Rocks Nightclub in Albany, back on November 24, 2016. He says he was beaten up by a group that included Hill.

It took a week-long search for Blacknall to be caught and arrested.

Blacknall’s attorney argued the shooting was self-defense, but said a murder conviction from a jury wasn’t worth the risk.
