PITTSFIELD, Mass. -  A babysitter is facing charges, accused of slapping a toddler -- and it was caught on surveillance video. Kaylena Sayers has been charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.

The surveillance video was posted on Facebook by the child's father. It shows the 19-month-old child in a highchair, with a woman nearby eating. She reaches over trying to get the child to eat, but they turn away and the child fusses.

The woman then stands up and slaps the child in the face.

The child screams and the slaps continue before she yells in the child's face.

NewsChannel 13's media partners at The Berkshire Eagle report a medical exam shows the child did not appear to be physically injured in the incident, so police are not filing a felony charge.

NewsChannel 13 will let you know if anything more comes out of this.
