Children between the ages of 12 and 15 may soon be eligible for a COVID-19 booster shot.

The FDA is planning to expand eligibility for the Pfizer booster shot in the coming days. The news of the pending approval was first reported in the New York Times.

It comes as the Omicron variant continues to spread rapidly in the U.S.
