Korean War soldier finally laid to rest in Schuylerville

A hero soldier from the Korean War was laid to rest Sunday in Schuylerville. The family of Pfc. John Martin was there as he received military awards and honors.

Martin was killed in action when Chinese forces attacked U.S. soldiers in North Korea in November 1950.

Martin's remains had not been identified. His family was never quite sure of his fate.

That changed three weeks ago when officials contacted them to say his remains had been identified thanks to advances in DNA analysis.
