Albany man guilty of manslaughter in stabbing death

ALBANY - A jury has found an Albany man guilty of manslaughter in the July stabbing death of Rashaun Byrd. 

Lahquann Grady, 21, stabbed Byrd twice in the chest with a kitchen knife back on July 5 in an Orange Street apartment.

Grady took the stand in his own defense, saying he was defending himself. The jury apparently rejected that notion, delivering the guilty verdict Friday afternoon.

Grady faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison when he's sentenced March 22.
