The former Lake George Watershed director was sentenced in Warren County Court Wednesday for charges including grand larceny.

David Decker received 8 to 24 years behind bars. However, he remains free pending appeal.

A jury convicted him of grand larceny in March for stealing nearly $250,000 in state and federal grants and spending the money at casinos, while also paying off his credit card bills.

Decker also failed to report the money on his tax returns.
