Lake Luzerne library closes due to abrupt staff resignations

The Rockwell Falls Library in Lake Luzerne is temporarily closed until further notice.

That’s because two-thirds of its staff recently left in a week’s time – including the director.

The same library was planning to host a drag queen story hour earlier this year, until a public meeting led to the event being canceled for good.

A spokesperson called the staff shortages “sudden,” but doesn’t give a reason for them. No one will be fined for now for returning any materials late.
