Family of fallen trooper files lawsuit over his death

The family of fallen State Trooper Timothy Pratt has filed a lawsuit stemming from his death.

Trooper Pratt was hit by a car and killed last October near the Wilton barracks. He was helping a lost truck driver at the time, who was stopped in a median.

Pratt's family is suing the driver of the car that hit him and the truck driver, alleging negligence.

The suit seeks unspecified monetary damages.
