SCOTIA-- Students were busy Saturday morning packaging 14,000 meals for those in need, now an annual tradition at Scotia-Glenville High School.

"It's not only fun with my friends, also for such a great cause and to realize that people don't have access to meals like we do" said senior Cristiana Bianchi.

This is their 4th year teaming up with Rise Against Hunger.

"We are so thankful because we can't do our work without kids coming out and putting in the effort, I can only do so much by myself, they're the real hunger champions coming out and packing the meals" said Rob Whitaker, the coordinator.

Last year, students also launched what's called the "Give Back Room" across from the high school cafeteria.

The meals are planned to be shipped out in the next couple of weeks.
