Lockout lifted at Shenendehowa campus

May 20, 2019 12:51 PM

It's back to business as usual on the Shenendehowa campus after a brief lockout Monday morning.

The Saratoga County Sheriff's Department says there was a large police presence at the campus Monday morning after a report of man walking nearby on Route 146 with what looked like a rifle.

Police say there was no report of a direct threat to the school.

The school district announced around 9 a.m. that the lockout had been lifted. They say police will remain on campus throughout the day as a precaution.
