The 51-year-old comedian has been at the center of controversy ever since 2017 when five women accused him of inappropriate behavior. He released a statement in which he said the stories were true and he expressed remorse for his actions.

Those actions resulted in the end of a production deal with FX Networks and the cancellation of a movie release.

After temporarily disappearing from the public, C.K. reemerged in August, making unannounced or last-minute appearances at comedy clubs to perform new material.

He caused another firestorm recently when audio emerged from a December performance where he apparently mocks the students-turned-activists from the Parkland, Florida school shooting.
