Former Schenectady man sentenced in asphalt attack

A former Schenectady man has been ordered to spend 15 years in state prison for attacking another man with a big piece of loose asphalt.

Luis Serrano was sentenced in Schenectady County Court on Friday.

Prosecutors say the victim owed Serrano money.

They say Serrano threw the asphalt through the window and into the victim's head, fracturing his skull.

The victim lost hearing in his left ear, vision in his left eye was blurry and he had no feeling in the left side of his face.
