Luna the dog finally gets to go home

December 21, 2018 11:27 PM

It was homecoming day for Luna the dog on Friday. Luna's owner picked her pooch up Friday afternoon.

NewsChannel 13 first told you about Luna in November, after she bit another dog and its owner who lived in their multi-family house in Troy. Luna had since been at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.

Under the city's dangerous dog law, Luna was ordered to be put down -- even though many people insisted Luna was not dangerous. The law was changed. However, Luna's case was not grandfathered in. It took an order from a judge to give Luna a stay of execution.

Under the agreement, Luna had to be spayed and microchipped. Her owner also agreed to keep Luna leashed and muzzled when out in public for the next two years.
