'American Idol' finalist from Shaker visits cheering crowds at home

Colonie was buzzing with excitement all-day Tuesday over "American Idol" finalist Madison VanDenburg.

VanDenburg is a student at Shaker High and she was back in town with a crew from the show.

The crowd went absolutely crazy for Madison in a pep rally at Shaker High School, where she sang "Falllin'" by Alicia Keys.

The high school choir serenaded Madison as she arrived on campus and at the pep rally.

A concert was scheduled for later in the day at The Crossings.

Madison will find out on Sunday night whether she will be crowned the next "American Idol."
