A Glens Falls man accused of raping and sexually abusing a young girl over an eight-year period will stand trial early next year.

Thomas Maxwell, 39, rejected a second plea offer.

He was indicted in August on felony counts for repeated sex assaults of a child younger than the age of 13 that began in 2011 and continued until earlier this year.

His trial is set for March in Warren County Court.

Maxwell has pleaded not guilty.

He faces life in prison if he's convicted.
