Man arrested after 200+ bags of heroin seized in drug bust

SCHAGHTICOKE - A three-week investigation in the town of Schaghticoke ends with hundreds of bags of heroin and an arrest of a 39-year-old man.

Police executed a search warrant at 311 Seminole Street and arrested Duane Miles.

He is charged with criminal possession of controlled substance.

Police say they found 214 bags of heroin mixed with fentanyl.

Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic narcotic that is used to treat pain and in recent years has been mixed with heroin, causing several heroin overdoses.
