TROY- A string of robberies in Troy might be solved.

On Monday, NewsChannel 13 showed surveillance video from the congress street market, where a would-be robber met a store clerk who was also armed with a bat.

Police have arrested Darren French.

Right now, French is only charged in connection with a robbery on Second Avenue. Police are investigating five hold-ups in the city from the past two days.

They previously said they believed the same person was responsible.

French is being questioned about the other robberies.
