25 years to life behind bars for Troy murder

A 23-year-old man will spend 25 years to life in jail in connection with a 2016 murder.

Luis Guevara was found guilty in the murder and burglary.

The body of 24-year-old Javier Gomez-Bartolone was found inside a home on East Glen Avenue in 2016.

Guevara and another man entered the home to steal money and drugs. Nothing was found, but yet Bartolone was beaten and stabbed to death.

Guevara was sentenced to 25 years to life on the murder charge and 15 years on the burglary charge. The sentences will run concurrently.
