The driver in a deadly hit-and-run in Saratoga County pleads guilty to a misdemeanor.

Maria Lentini admitted to leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. This ends the legal saga that started in December of 2015.

Lentini was convicted of leaving the scene of a fatal accident in 2016, but was granted a new trial by a state appeals court.

Earlier this year, Saratoga County Judge Jim Murphy disqualified the district attorney's office from prosecuting Lentini for a second time. He found prosecutors failed to disclose that they gave special treatment to a witness in the case.

Lentini is expected to be sentenced to one year in jail in October.
