Re-trial granted for Saratoga Springs woman involved in deadly 2015 crash

A state Appeals Court agreed that Maria Lentini of Saratoga Springs was guilty of leaving the scene of a fatal accident. However, the justices granted her request for a re-trial.

Lentini was convicted and sentenced for leaving the scene without reporting. However, her attorney argued testimony from two witnesses violated a pre-trial ruling.

The state Appellate Division decided a mistrial should have been declared.

Lentini's new trial is scheduled to begin July 23.
