SCHENECTADY - Investigators now say a woman killed last week in Schenectady was strangled.

Court filings obtained by NewsChannel 13 show police believe Budhnarain Kadar killed Marian Singh more 20 hours before they were called.

Police believe the incident happened Wednesday morning. They weren't called to the address until 10 p.m. when they got what they describe as a strange 911 call.

Kadar is charged with murder.
