Massachusetts to receive opioid crisis grants

More than 90-million dollars in federal grants is going to help to fight the opioid crisis in Massachusetts.   

The state will get the grants over a two year period.

They’re part of 1.8 billion dollars spreading across many states to help fight the crisis by expanding access to treatment and supporting research.    

The number of people who died from opioid-related overdoses in Massachusetts has declined two years in a row.
