A Niskayuna woman is counting her blessings after making a miraculous recovery from coronavirus.

Maya McNulty spent 69 days in the hospital including more than a month on a ventilator.

NewsChannel 13 was the only station invited to be there Thursday when she was released from the hospital - and the first to interview her in her home Friday morning.

McNulty tested positive on March 16 after more than two weeks of coughing, fever, and difficulty breathing.

Her instructions at the time were go home to recover and quarantine.

On March 21, she took a turn for the worse.

McNulty says she doesn't remember her month-long stay at Ellis.

She was in a coma and on a ventilator.

She woke up at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital where should we spend the next five weeks learning to eat, talk and breathe on her own again.

While far from fully recovered, she is now back home with her family.
