Mechanicville urges residents to run water until its clear

MECHANICVILLE -- The boil water advisory was lifted for the city on Friday, but some residents are still sharing their photos of discolored water.

The Department of Public Works says that although the water is safe to drink, there are still steps that need to be taken. For example, the city will be flushing hydrants on Monday, which should clear things up.

For now, the city advises residents run the water until it is clear.
