Suspect in art gallery burglary tied to more thefts

A man accused of stealing a painting from a gallery in Saratoga Springs is facing more charges.

NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Post-Star report Michael Vittengl has been arrested in connection with two more thefts.

Police say he stole $1,000 worth of equipment from a van he borrowed and received hundreds of dollars in services from a spa, then left without paying.

Investigators say Vittengl was also involved in a fundraising scam, asking for donations for and selling tickets to a fake masquerade ball.
