"After dad passed away, we stayed in his room for a little bit and then the doctor came in. And while we were in the hallway, a lullaby played. Something just moved me to go get paper and write a note," she explained.

The note wasn't very long, but Jamie was on a mission to deliver it to the OB unit.

Not expecting anything in return, Jamie left simple instructions. She wanted the note passed along to the first baby born after 10:41 in the morning -- the same time her dad passed.

In another corner of the hospital on the same day, the sound of new life.

Connie Despanie and her fiancee struggled to find the right middle name for their newborn baby boy.

"Dr. Pugliese came in and she was holding an envelope," recalled Despanie.

"She just sort of looked up at her husband and said, 'That's it, we have a middle name,'" recalled Dr. Pugliese.

That baby is now Kingston James Hall.

"A baby was named after my dad. I broke into uncontrollable tears. A smile doesn't begin to say what he's experiencing. He would be so totally proud," exclaimed Fotnenot.
