SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Greg Lemon was like a lot of people last March. He was prepared to hit the panic button as California shut down.
However, his biggest concern was the future of his small business, Milestone Running, which he co-owns with two others.
Lemon says they never sold online. Milestone was all about the in-store experience.
The business stayed afloat by reaching out on social media, and asking people to call and leave voicemails for orders. The orders are then delivered to people’s homes, much like a meal.
The adjustment worked. Sales never really slowed as Milestone hit its stride.
No one was let go. In fact, the owners were able to give more hours to their employees.
