New Yorkers making minimum wage will get a raise at the end of the month.
The minimum wage for most of the state will increase from $11.10 to $11.70 on December 31, 2019.
It’s part of the state's plan to gradually increase minimum wage to $15 an hour.
It’s already that much for New York City businesses with more than 11 employees.
A year later, on December 31, 2020, the minimum wage for all of New York except for New York City, Long Island and Westchester, will increase to $12.50 an hour.
