Missing 6-year-old Albany boy returns home safely

ALBANY - It was a long night for searchers and police officers out in Albany, but a missing boy is now safe at home.

NewsChannel 13 first told you about the frantic search for the 6-year-old boy Thursday night. We were told he had been out by himself since 11 p.m.

Police say he was found around 5 a.m. Friday morning, in a wooded area near McCarty Avenue and Cherry Hill Street. That's not far from his house.

Police say he was wet and cold, but otherwise okay.
