MENANDS -- The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is officially marking the opening of its new 32,000 square foot facility.

It's been open while construction has been going on so they could continue to care for the dogs and cats and bunnies in need of shelter.

The new and much larger facility is more state of the art, and much more comfortable.

It has dog and cat play rooms, and the living quarters are much more spacious.

Just last month, the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society played a big part to Clear the Shelters, joining the nation in lowering adoption fees to help 65 pets find new homes in just one day.
