Latham teen makes it through knockout round on 'The Voice'

Latham teenager Moriah Formica made it through Monday night's knockout round on NBC's "The Voice."

The 17-year-old beat out Whitney Fenimore.

She sang a Kelly Clarkson song after getting some mentoring from Clarkson herself.

Once the singing was done, Coach Miley Cyrus picked the Shaker High student.

The playoff round on "The Voice" starts on Monday.

NewsChannel 13 caught up with Moriah last week and she played some of an original song for us.
