Albany County Executive Dan McCoy cut the ribbon of the new MVP Arena on Friday, along with leaders from the city, the arena and MVP.

This marks the fourth name for the arena since opening in 1990.

The building was most recently the Times Union Center. It was also the Pepsi Arena and was originally the Knickerbocker Arena.

Sporting events, concerts and trade shows will continue. However, the ultimate goal is to improve the experience and invest in the surrounding community.

Learn more about how, by watching the video of Dan Levy's story.
