Limo company's operator pleads not guilty to charge in connection with fatal crash

The operator of Prestige Limo in Saratoga County is under arrest in connection with the Schoharie crash that took 20 lives on Saturday.

Nauman Hussain is charged with criminally negligent homicide. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop on I-787 in Watervliet on Wednesday. Hussain was arraigned in Schoharie County on Wednesday evening. He pleaded not guilty.

Hussain was involved in the day-to-day operations of the business. He is the son of the limo company owner.

Hussain was issued written violations by New York State Police and the New York State Department of Transportation saying that the driver hired shouldn't have been behind the vehicle.

The vehicle was also placed out of service last month and shouldn't have been on the road.
