Fourteen neglected Shih-Tzu type dogs have been rescued from a Montgomery County home. They include five adults and nine puppies.

The Montgomery County SPCA says the dogs were found at a home on Route 30 in the town of Florida on Wednesday after concerned neighbors called police.

The dogs' were willingly surrendered and are now being kept at an Amsterdam shelter. They're expected to be up for adoption in about a week.

State police are now investigating for possible animal neglect charges. However, no charges have been filed so far.
