The Albany Police Department is introducing the newest member of its force.

Kev will be starting his K-9 training with Officer Brian Kisling next month.

Kev is named in honor of Detective Kevin Meehan. He lost his life back in 2018 following a battle with cancer.

Police say Meehan was extremely dedicated to helping others and keeping the city safe.
