EAST GREENBUSH - The new police chief of East Greenbush, who's already making history, is expected to get final approval on Wednesday.

Detective Sergeant Elaine Rudzinski was chosen to take over for long-time chief Christopher Lavin.  She’ll be the first woman to lead the department. She’s been on the force for 24 years.
