New East Greenbush police chief expected to get final approval

EAST GREENBUSH - The new police chief of East Greenbush, who's already making history, is expected to get final approval on Wednesday.   

Detective Sergeant Elaine Rudzinski was chosen to take over for long-time chief Christopher Lavin.  She’ll be the first woman to lead the department. She’s been on the force for 24 years.

John Craig spoke to her on Monday and he found out, there's still an open homicide case she has been working on and wants to close before she becomes chief, which is next week.
