New tourism site opens in Rotterdam

ROTTERDAM - A new tourism site opened its doors in Rotterdam on Saturday.

The Tribes Hill Heritage Center is open at the Viaport Mall. It's a place people can learn about and experience Native American culture and history as well as the history of the Mohawk Valley.

The new site will also partner with CDTA.

"With bus trips that are going to historical sites from this location, historical sites throughout the Capital Region and the canal towns," said Assem. Angelo Santabarbara.

The center is looking to build a permanent home in Montgomery County. It would include a multi-building center on 55 acres of land.
