A New York company has released a fully automated coronavirus test.

Rheonix Incorporated received emergency use authorization from the FDA.

The company's test will facilitate same-day test results for small and medium laboratories. A technician loads a sample onto the work station and results are available in less than five hours.

“I like to tell people you only really need to know how to do two things. Insert the consumables and hit the go button. Everything after that is automatic,” said Richard Montagna, Ph.D., FACB, senior vice president for scientific and clinical affairs, Rheonix Inc.
