Governor Cuomo says overall coronavirus numbers remain on the decline statewide, despite the death toll going back up to triple digits - hitting 109.

There is some good news on the reopening front. Campground and RV parks statewide are allowed to open starting Monday for Memorial Day. Veterinarian practices will start back up in all regions beginning Tuesday.

The Mid-Hudson region and Long Island are still on track to reopen this week.

The governor also confirmed that New York professional sports teams can begin training. He describes the return of sports as a sort of return to normalcy.

In terms of the economy, the governor wants to prepare for rebuilding and recreating.

"Chapter three, which we're going to begin preparing for soon, is rebuilding and recreating the economy. I don't believe this economy just bounces back. I don't believe it's going to be enough just to go back to where the economy was,” Governor Cuomo said.

The governor also reminded people that, while beaches are open this holiday weekend, it's important to maintain social distancing.
