There are some exceptions to the travel advisory announced by Gov. Cuomo earlier this week, along with the governors of New Jersey and Connecticut.

As NewsChannel 13 has been reporting, it applies to anyone returning from travel to states that have a significant degree of community-wide spread of coronavirus.

For example, if you are just traveling through New York, not stopping, the advisory does not apply.

There are also exemptions for essential workers spending a short time in the state.
